Hi Folks,
We opened our exhibition schedule last week with a game
against cross-town rivals, St. Lawrence College.
Queen’s 69 – St.
Lawrence 62
It was a struggle right from the outset as St. Lawrence
applied a fair amount of pressure, preventing us from gaining any rhythm on
offense. Shooting only 33% in the first
half, we found ourselves trailing by 4 at the half, 24-28. We opened the third quarter well and quickly
erased the deficit and gained a 6 point advantage – an advantage we would hold
through most of the rest of the game.
Jenny Wright led all scorers with 18 points, 8 rebounds & 2
steals. Liz Boag added 14 points and 7
assists, while Andrea Priamo had 12 points and 7 boards.
