We are looking at a couple of different options for the October 28-30 weekend and are working to confirm a Training Camp & Competition in the Caribbean post Christmas.

In the last update I reported that Jenny Wright will be joining our squad this fall. I am also pleased to announce that Jenny has been selected as the Catherine Gertrude Milliken-Smith award recipient. Jenny is following in fellow-Kingstonian, Liz Boag's footsteps as the recipient of the prestigious award. Established in March 2007 by Sherwood H. Smith, Jr. of Raleigh, North Carolina in memory of his mother Catherine Gertrude (Milliken) Smith, B.A. 1924, who, while attending Queen's, played for and managed the varsity women's basketball team. Awarded to recognize academic achievement and athletic excellence to student-athletes entering the first year of a direct-entry undergraduate degree program at Queen's University and who is on the competition roster of the Gaels interuniversity women's basketball team.

That's it for now.
